Shuptrine’s Gold Leaf Designs is proud to personally represent the work of Internationally renowned artist Stephen Scott Young. Stephen Scott Young began his creative journey as soon as he was old enough to hold a pencil and a brush. In 1976, he attended college at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida and was immediately inspired by the works and styles of the “Old Masters”, Vermeer and Caravaggio. A virtuoso realist in the classic tradition, Stephen Scott Young remains an anomaly on the modern scene. Major collectors avidly seek his watercolors, which are internationally known for their sense of dramatic design and luminous, clear color. His work is showcased worldwide alongside the same masters that provided inspiration for his early artistic endeavors.
